My role as the campus pastor is the primary leader for the staff and ministry at the multisite. The simplest way to describe it is “to equip the saints for the work of the ministry, for building up the body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:12). First and foremost this means seeking the Lord through prayer and the Word, but more specifically this includes casting vision, setting priorities, and supporting ministry leaders to ensure that we are reaching the community with the gospel and helping foster spiritual growth within the congregation.
I married the sweetest gal I know, Sarah, and together we have two young children, Lauren and Owen.
October 5 – please, no gifts ... except ice cream.
When I was in business, God used a manager to point me to Jesus, and in turn God used me to reach others in my circles. Through those experiences God has given me a passion for relational evangelism because I have seen the power of Jesus working through people who are gospel-minded and who pray. I couldn’t be more thrilled to bring the love of Christ into a new neighborhood and can’t wait to see what God does through Grace Church!
God used Grace church mightily in my own life to learn what it meant to have a personal relationship with Jesus. My heart was softened and my life gained meaning as I learned how to interact with God through reading the Bible and praying, and as I got involved in local and global ministry. I know this is true for many at Grace and I am so excited to see this replicated in the suburbs we will reach, and I can’t wait to see people place their faith in Jesus and grow in their relationship with him!
