Each week during the school year, we hold a fun Akina Kids Club for the children of Little Earth of United Tribes in Minneapolis! The children come to Akina Community Church and eat supper, play games, and have Bible lessons.
There are many opportunities to serve, including: small group leader, food helper, crafts/games leader, 1:1 helper for children with special needs. Anyone ages 14 years or older is welcome to serve, and younger children can join if accompanied by a parent. If you’re interested in joining our team, please complete this application. For more information, contact Kirsten at firstname.lastname@example.org or Leah at email@example.com.
Breaking Free Kids Club
We partner with Breaking Free at their permanent housing location in St. Paul and lead a bi-monthly Kids Club and Bible Study, October through May. Our purpose is to share the love of Jesus and to come alongside kids and their moms, as they rebuild their lives after being sexually exploited. Our time with the kids is spent sharing Bible stories, crafts, games and snacks. While the kids are meeting, we share God’s Word with the women, and also enjoy crafts and snacks.
There are many opportunities to support this ministry through prayer, providing food or crafts supplies as well as serving with the women or children. If you’re interested in more information, please e-mail Christine Erickson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
